Fat Quarter Friendly! Most exciting is that the new pattern includes both the Original Size templates as well as the all new Fat Quarter size templates - perfect for your stash of fat quarters or your favorite fat quarter bundle!
Acrylic template cutting instructions. With the addition of acrylic templates you'll find acrylic cutting instructions built into the pattern!
Paper templates still included! The acrylic templates make cutting a breeze BUT, like the original, I've decided to include paper templates - in both the Original and Fat Quarter sizes! They can be found in your download.
Completely rewritten and tech edited. The original pattern was my very first printed pattern and I barely knew how to write a pattern and didn't even know tech editors even existed. Since then I've learned that a good tech editor makes quilting so much better. And I've learned a few things about writing a pattern.
What's the Difference?
You've been asking for them for years!
I finally had the knowledge and experience to make them a reality. Yay!

Two choices: Original Size or Fat Quarter Size
Cut all five arcs with one template! I was pretty excited to have figured this out. It made the templates at lot more affordable and convenient.

The Quilt That Started It All. . .
While my family was walking the Las Vegas strip thinking about
their next roulette game or where we were going to eat dinner I was as usual taking in the world through the lens of a quilter.
I made our whole group stop on Las Vegas Boulevard and took a picture of the ground below us as we walked the strip. Don't worry - they're used to it! After a bit of research I found the classic stonework pattern that I had just photographed was called European Fans. I went home, drafted the first templates and made this baby quilt. I don't remember much about that long ago Vegas trip but I remember the moment when I thought the sidewalk should become a quilt.
The rest as they say, is history.
